Frequently Asked Questions
How much do people usually
tip?
Most clients follow the same guidelines used in restaurants (10-20%). The Stonebriar Spa's philosophy is that tipping is always appreciated, but never. expected.
Do I have to take off all my clothes?
Our priority is your total relaxation, privacy and comfort. You may wear your undergarments or bathing suit during a massage or body treatment. However, for optimal results we provide disposable garments and fully drape clients during treatments.
Can I bring children in the Spa while I am receiving a treatment?
Maintaining a peaceful environment for our clients is very important to us. Children may be taken with you in the treatment room during brief waxing/sugaring services only. Your service will be stopped immediately if the child makes noise or becomes disruptive to the therapist. Full payment will still be required even if the service is not finished. Children are never allowed in the relaxation or locker rooms. They are also not allowed in the nail room when other clients are present.

Are there minimum age restrictions for spa services?
We absolutely love children and want to introduce them to spa services. However, due to insurance and safety restrictions we are not allowed to provide services to children under 12 years of age. This includes facial, massage, body therapy, and nail services. Sorry, we are not allowed to even provide a polish application to children. A parent or guardian must sign the client form for all children 12 - 17 years of age.

When can I cancel
my spa appointment without a financial penalty?
Due to the popularity of spa treatments, many clients await cancellations. For this reason, a 24 hour cancellation notice is required for all appointments in order to facilitate other clients' needs. Clients who do not give 24 hours notice will be charged for all services booked. A 50% charge may be assessed if less than 24 hours notice is received. Full charges may be assessed if no notice is provided.
Please do not email cancellations for appointments less than 48 hours in the future.
How early should I arrive for my spa treatment?
We ask that you arrive 20 - 30 minutes prior to your appointment time. More time is needed if you choose to use our amenities prior to your treatment This will allow our front desk coordinators enough time to check you in and fill out the appropriate information before beginning your first treatment.
A late arrival will result in shortened treatment time to accommodate other clients. We will always do our best to provide your full treatment time.
How should I dress for my visit to the Spa?
Please come in whatever clothes you like with as much or as little make up as you desire. Your comfort is our primary concern and we will have spa attire available for you.
Can I schedule treatments if I am pregnant?
Yes!! However, treatments should be avoided that have certain essential oils, deep pressure or heat. Please advise when scheduling your appointments so we can customize your treatments to meet your special needs.
